Necklace: Mini Microscope

Glass Lenses were first invented about 100AD by the Romans.  They used only one glass lens.  In 1590 A Zaccharias and his father Hans put two lenses together and made the "compound microscope."  

The early model looks nothing like today's, but it still brings things into focus.
