We are happy to announce our partnership with Seed Savers, a non-profit organization who is working to save and share seeds around the world. One aspect of their program that we are particularly happy with is their ability to  share unused seeds once the season is over. The sharing program works both in the US and around the world and gives seeds, at no cost, to those who can use them. We are offering both organic and non-organic varieties.

This is our first year offering seeds and each store has a separate selection:

1719 Museum, Hans Herr House has a specially curated selection of seeds based on the research done by Tiffany Fisk, an expert on 18th century cooking. They reflect both Herr House and general 18th century menus.

Mennonite Visitor Center is offering seeds that are from plants mentioned in the Bible.

LMHS is focused on flowers and Amish vegetables.

"Since 1975, we have grown, saved, and shared heirloom seeds and led a movement to protect biodiversity and preserve heirloom varieties. At the heart of our organization is a seed bank that houses a collection of 20,000+ rare, open-pollinated varieties. With gardeners like you, we can get these seeds where they belong—in gardens and on tables everywhere, for generations to come."  Seed Savers Exchange
