Zwingli - Softcover
Huldrych Zwingli (1484-1531) a Swiss priest and leader of the Reformation in Switzerland was killed in the Battle of Kappel when Catholic forces greatly outnumbered Protestant forces. The documented story lines introduced in "The Samuel Fox Diary" are continued in "Zwingli." Hundreds of early Pennsylvania Amish, Mennonite and Church of the Brethren families (Amman, Baumgartner, Groff, Meili, Landis, Weber, etc.) and 1800's Mormon families of Utah are traced to northern Switzerland in the 1500's and descendants of Zwingli. Ten groups of persons closely associated with Zwingli are identified; his mother's family, his wife's family, his step-children, Conrad Grebel (his student and father of Anabaptists), etc. Supporting DNA analysis is provided by Darvin L. Martin. Book 2 of the Zwingli series. 12,000 name index. Soft cover. Yvonne Kimmel, 2018. 523 pages.
