Giving & Growing
“I enjoyed my experience,” ninth-grader Evan Morales says of the day he spent exploring career interests by helping out in the historical society library and archives. “I had no idea how much there is here about Mennonites and ancestors.” One of Evan’s tasks was to set up a display featuring 2019 as the 300th anniversary of the 1719 Herr House.
Holding, honoring and sharing history is as much about foresight as it is about the past. The volunteers who restored the 1719 Herr House knew this, and so does Evan as he explores his career path.
Your gifts support the visionary staff and volunteers who steward the things and build the relationships that bring vitality to stories that matter. Your gift touches the 71,000 visitors we host annually across the Historical Society, Mennonite Information Center, and the 1719 Herr House & Museum.
