As our story opens, William and his family have just moved into the community.  That meant there were a lot of people to learn to know.  William at once sensed a kindred spirit in Glen, and the two young men confided in each other right away.  There was something about Mike, too, that drew William easy.  Why did Mike make such sarcastic remarks about others?
